![]() If my cat is running through the desert wearing all ice mage gear and suddenly encounters one of those tough little (ice-resistant) ice wyverns, it’s tedious to change into another set of equipment just to switch back after the fight. The only developer suggestion I really have is to include easily selectable equipment loadouts or favorites. The additions of a companion, ranged attacks, elemental resistances, and dodge rolling give this sequel significantly more interesting and dynamic gameplay. It has the same gorgeous artwork, energizing cinematic soundtrack, quirky dialog, and hilariously stupid cat (and dog) puns, but it smooths over a couple small deficits in the original. It’s hands-down one of my favorite mobile games.Ĭat Quest II is somehow even more delightful. Sat NSExceptionĬat Quest was a beautiful distillation of the adventure genre, compressing an entire game’s worth of content into a large, beautifully realized overworld and several dozen brisk, fun dungeon instances. Make the other character your tank.ĬQI was perfect. Using a controller and making your character use magic like shield, health restore with the black hole spell and the space beam or trap really does the job. I finished with 100% on all Game Center categories. Otherwise once you have completed a dungeon nothing will show on it. You need to do as many level appropriate side quests as you progress otherwise you aren’t always strong enough to easily defeat the next part of main quest. After a while you figure out you can skip all the dialog and just follow the on screen Cutser to see what to do next. You can tell if you have completed a dungeon if there is a question mark or a half filled diamond you need to go back and complete something usually if you can’t figure it out there is a unmarked path you can walk off somewhere to get a chest. ![]() The game is very straight forward and fun if you want a simple RPG. Just go into options and change it, I used an Xbox controller. It doesn’t say that it does but you can use a controller.
